He is a fifth-generation Westerner who grew up in the wilderness of Wyoming, gaining unparalleled insight into the behavior of Western big game. He explored the backcountry of the West with his wildlife photographer father and, at the age of 14, started following in his footsteps. By 25, he had become an accomplished outdoorsman, guide, photographer, and adventurer with extensive global experience.

 

In 1987, Mike Eastman founded the nationally acclaimed hunting magazines Eastmans' Hunting Journal (EHJ) and Eastmans' Bowhunting Journal (EBJ). However, his foray into television in 1999 solidified his household name status. His popular TV show, which airs on the Outdoor Channel, is now celebrating its 25th year, a testament to his enduring appeal and the quality of his content. He has also authored four best-selling books on hunting, each selling over 50,000 copies.
